What is your day-to-day work like? Do you spend your time in meetings, coding, working on decks or analyses?

My day to day in beingDevRel varies. And so there are some weeks we're all I'm doing is coding, there are other weeks where I am in slide decks building out slides and so I can explain concepts and educate folks. There are times where I am building out tutorials or codelabs or I am working with our production team to record videos. So everyday is slightly different and it's based off of the project. A big part of what I do, the reason why it varies so much, is because DevRel spans the gamut of you could do just engineering internal work or you could do a lot of externally off work and so I like to bounce from back and forth. I like to do something internally to figure out something or to test out a new API or test out a new feature. And then walk it through until the end. And so that involves testings it, helping out with the documentation of it, building out information on how people can learn how to implement it and then sharing it out to the world. There are times where I'll hop into different parts of that works stream. Actually, part of the work steam I forgot to mention, then after sharing it, collecting feedback from outside folks to help make us build things better or to improve or to fix some bugs. So there's different times I'll hop in, hop out, on different features/different elements. So my day varies when it comes to the generic DevRel job. Now for me personally, also have a mentorship time that I do and outreach for folks were underrepresented in Tech. So I do events, like I'm part of panels, I’ll help out doing some informational interviews, I help folks the interviews. So that adds more variation of what I do as well.
